are rotary motors say like a twin turbo 13m able to be put in these trucks? cause i have a guy here locally that has an rx7 shop. also it would be good cause its 5 speed and you can have more upgrades plus turbo.

well the Aussies are putting them into Gemini's so I would assume that you could fit on into a Luv.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit. Rotaries are a small package compared to piston engines.

Only issue I can think of is gearing. Rotaries put out some serious RPMs and often have differential gears to match.

I knew someone years ago who dropped a SBC into an old Mazda rotary pickup. The rear end was geared so high it was a challenge to get 55MPH out of it. The driveline ended up giving out after a week or so and took care of removing the rear end for him though.

Yeah gearing is the only realy big thing. The Mazda REPU pickups (yup you guessed it a B series whith a rotory 8O ) had 4.77 gears in the rear end. The bigest problem whith the rotories is they have NO low end power, and if you lug em the engne is done...
