I just got an 83' Nissan 720 truck, it has a "Nap-Z" motor, and a stock carb. The truck won't stay running at idle, or when I bring the truck to a stop. When I driving down the road, and take my foot off the throttle to "coast" the truck surges real bad. When I got the truck the idle was turned up real high to keep the truck running, but it still died at stop signs.
Oh, and the fuel mileage sucks!
What I've done:
New cap, rotor, plugs new ones gapped at .0032 old ones gapped at .0040, wires, cleaned carb with spray cleaner.
What I'm gonna do at payday:
fuel filter, air filter.
Also I sprayed carb cleaner every where, and couldn't find any vac leaks.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
KT-
