I have a larger floor model . They make alot of dust if you don't have a collection set up . It takes a pretty big compressor to run .

I ended up buying the $199 floor model at harbor freight. I bought the walnut shells for the abrasive but they would not go through the gun. So i bought some glass bead. seems to work ok. dust was not bad but I know it will get worse as the blast media breaks down. For the dust collector i was thinking of running the vent hose into a bucket of water for a poor mans dust collector. Don't know how much I will use it but it seems handy to have around. I am running it on a 60gal compressor not having any problems even though the recommended the you needed 16cfm to run it. i don't believe many of the specs from harbor freight

I have the big one Harbor Frieght sells. Everything good except the cheap gun. I replaced phony rubber valve seal with a ball bearing and modified the seat to fit bearing, and it works good. You need to hook outlet up to vacuum or a ventilator or you can't see sh*t through window. I use a big 80 gallon 20+ cfm compressor, so no problems there. I use Green Diamond silica free media. I like it better than glass beads for what I blast.
