If you ever get a chance to get close to one, the size of those suckers will amaze you. When looking at one up close you'll notice wrinkles all over the fuselage skin. These planes were designed to be flying and the skin smooths out while airborne. Sitting on the ground the stresses on the airframes aren't spread over the entire structure evenly, so it wrinkles. A sheetmetal (structural Repair) nightmare with their age!!!

Many years ago I went to a airshow. You could walk into a C-5 Galaxy, sit in a Apache Helicopter and do others things. The B-52 was roped off and had A.P. standing around it. BIG Plane.. The C-5 was bigger, but not as impressive. The Concord was neat too. I would love to have seen a SR71.

The Concord is a neat plane. in '85 I went to the airshow in Oshkosh, WI. Very impressive seeing all the old warbirds!!!
