Just bought a 1980 4x4 Chevy Luv yesterday. Getting it home is proving to be difficult though. I drove a dolly up to get it; and when I got there, one of the tires had gone flat on the dolly. It put a hole in the sidewall and we couldn't get it to hold air. So I own a Luv, it's just not in my possesion at the moment. Anyways...enough whining. I am hoping to get it home in the next couple of days. Questions will be following shortly as well...after I search the site a lil more.

Yea, it wasn't the best day I have ever had; but it wasn't the worst either. Thanks for the welcome and I definately know that I came to the right place. I was hoping to get it home sometime this week, after work. But I may just have to wait until this weekend. If I weren't getting it so cheap, it would almost not be worth the hasel. But I have always wanted one, and I am finally going to get one. I think it is going to need a motor though, so that is the first priority. You have a really nice LUV by the way! I hope that I might can find a nice 2wd to build up to be a lil weekend drag truck. I don't know that I will take it as far as you though.

I hope things go better for you the next time you try to get it home. My dad bought the truck already built into a drag truck. So I haven't done much too it except I redid the aluminum interior. Keep us posted on the progress of your Luv.

Oh things went so much worse yesterday! I finally got a tire for the damn dolley. We get the truck loaded and I head on my merry way. Car dolley and bad weather make for a terrible day. The LUV and dolley started swaying back and forth, and would not stop! So it ended up spinning me around; the LUV was by my driver side window at one point, and the car dolley was destroyed. Needless to say the LUV and the dolley had to be towed an hour and a half back to my house. There is a little body damage to the driver side or my tahoe and the LUV. The bad thing is that I think the LUV passenger bed side must have hit a guard rail, cuz it got nocked inwards. I will try and take pictures of everything on Thursday when I'm off. But I am sad and dejected at this point.

Well in all honesty, it is probably my fault (I'm sure it is my fault). But it happened, it's over, and there isn't anything that I can do about it now. So now we move on. I am not going to be able to get pics up tomorrow though. I had to come to NC to see my bro-in-law. I will try to get some pics up when I get a chance though.
