On e bay there is a glass hood with a scoop. Have you checked it out?

Ive seen prefabbed steel cowl induction scoops around. Cheaper than buying a whole hood and easier than making one. Then theres always the plastic or fiberglass ones you can epoxy or rivet on and mold in with body filler.

On my '78 I got a universal ''6 Harwood fiberglass cowl. I trimmed it down, pop rivited it on the hood, cut the underneath of the cowl induction and then I got body filler and molded it in. Turned out nice, but the only problem is that the body filler pulls away from the cowl and it looks like a crack down it, but then agian I took out all the support under the hood and it was a 4 pin pull off style hood. That made it flex a lot when I took it off and moved it around.
