Anybody have any experience with running a header down to a glasspack? She's pretty loud right now and im not looking for any tickets. Anybody able to pull this off without making people's ears bleed?

If the exhaust dumps right under the cab, it is going to sound really loud due to the reverberation inside of the cab. Much louder than if you are outside of the truck. I know from experience! With the exhaust systems everyone is putting on the Honda's today, is it really louder than that? I would run a short exhaust extension to get it to at least the rear axle to save the ole ear drums.

Even a small leak right under the cab will really up the noise level inside, so getting it out towards the back is a plus.

I ran a header and a turbo muffler on my last 79, with a split Ansa tip on the end. The result was interesting, but really fairly quiet. If you end up with something too sharp, a resonator tip of some kind would be an easy addition to mellow things out a bit.

Right now, EVERYTHING on the exhaust is totally stock, except the muffler. Even the old tip is on it. It comes out in the stock location, even. At first glance, it doesn't look like i've touched the exhaust.
