Hi Guys, I've been away working on other cars etc. I'm back to fixing my '77LUV and I'm having an issue with the starting. The ignition switch does not have 12 volts in the 'start' position. I have checked it with a volt meter. The 'run' position has 12v and the switch works fine. I'm having trouble getting started because it will crank and crank but as soon as I let off the key to the run position it fires but not all the time. Often times the car doesn't want to start at all because of this issue. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? I have traced the wire from the key switch to a couple of electrical 'relays??' underneath the metal shield attached to the right fender wall. Could one of these be bad? I tried an alternate hot lead to the coil from the start position terminal on the switch but that got the starter activated continuously. So I quit that idea. I believe the start position at the switch should provide 12v to the coil to allow it to start. Any Ideas? Thank You...Don
