Had a bad storm here week ago last thurs. 3 1/2" of ice and then 15" of snow. I figured this is no problem and put on rear chains. every thing fine until i blew the right rear chain on a steep hill and the truck shot off sideways over a bank. There it hung with left reat wheel hanging out into space and trying to depart for good. Couldn't get it out with 1 ton chevy diesel. Just no traction. After most of the snow and some of the ice melted I hooked a comealong from large oak tree and pulled the whole assend sideways untill both wheels were on the road again. Started truck and drove it away.
Much fun.
