Has anyone found a reliable source for new or rebuilt CV joint shafts?

I just found out tonight as I went to put the locking hubs back on after cleaning/refurbishing them that both CV joint shafts have torn boots. As I just got the truck, I have no idea how long they've been like that and how much contaminant intrusion has happened, so I have no idea how far gone they are.

I'm at the point now that if there are no longer any replacements available, I will stop the restoration process and part the truck out. But if there is some place to get some, I will grab a pair and continue on rebuilding the engine.

Yeah, I saw that, too. But they've been out of stock for quite some time (measured in years).

Nope, not at all. I'm currently trying to find somewhere local that might be able to rebuild them. Not holding out much hope, though. Bellingham is kind of a small town type city, heavily influenced by Seattle (in that everything is geared towards the university and Starbucks).

I ordered 6 sets that showed compatible with my 79. None were even close. Pray you can find a used one that isn't destroyed.
