first off hi everybody. Have to admit i read some post to see if i wanted to join first. the members here seem very up standing and willing to help a fellow wrench turner out.that said i recently was given a 79 luv 4x4 1.8 which had sat in my uncle to bes back yard for a couple years it still has the factory lemon yellow paint job and silver stripes along with the 4x4 decals is this a base line luv or one of the variants, also im looking for a source for sheet metal got body cancer in the rocker panels and a few other spots this is most deffintly a budget build but my better half is as hot about this project as i am its cool to be with a fellow motor head. ill post truck pix tom. on project (little bear) name after my girls nick name.any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated im used to work full size v8's

Welcome. These 4x's are really cool little trucks you won't be disappointed. Some parts are very hard to find but persistent LUV truckers seem to find a way. I've been looking for a set of rockers for mine for a while with no luck. There has been a couple of sets on ebay but went for more than my budget would allow at the time. Good luck and I hope we don't end up bidding against each other somewhere down the road, LOL.
