Hi,
I've been working on this '80 LUV for a while and it is finally running well. I live in a California Smog Check area and have to keep it pretty stock. The carb is working pretty well, still need to dial in the choke. Too much choke at initial startup. I passed smog, now I'll tune for mileage for the next two years. Thanks for all the information on this site.

Yea, nice truck. and with A/C too. The summer in Sac. can get pretty hot.

The heater hoses that run across the firewall..... I see labels on them still. Did you find original made to fit hoses for the LUV?
I couldn't find them anywhere, and had to dig through the hose bin at one store until I found something close enough to use.

Thanks for the positive comments. The heater hoses came with the truck when I bought it. I don't think the hoses are original cut, some are bent fairly hard and are almost crimped. They work and seem relatively new.

Only 1 thing I would do if it was mine, paint the drums black. :ewink
Looks a lot like mine did back in the day, (except mine is 2by and you dont have an ugly @ss topper on your truck. )
