There is a new virous that is similar to a flu virous in a way that the child will get a fever and loss of appetite but not throw up. But within a 24hr period the temperature will spike to as much as 110 degrees and the child may have seizures. There have been many cases of this in our area so its only a matter of time before it spreads else where if not already. WASH YOUR HANDS AND YOUR CHILDS OFTEN.

Is it even possible to get to 110*? i've never heard of such a thing. 106 is the highest i've ever heard of and that caused brain damage.

Kids can get much higher temps than adults without suffering brain damage. Still 110 is way the hell up there, not something I'd want my kid to have.

One of the managers at work has a 2 year old daughter that just went tnrough this virous and her temp got to 106. She passed out twice and had seizures. 110 doesnt sound possible to me either, but Im no doctor.

Your pretty much screwed at 107, I think that's the highest it's supposed to go (in survivability and all) passed that is a gonner;however, in this case the kids can get to higher temps. This is all from my anatomy class last year, let me get the book real quick and I'll see what the max is.
