Got a new ride for the daughter. She is very excited about it. Found it on racingjunk.com. Went over last sunday and looked at it. Called him sunday night with an offer. He called back with a counter offer for $300 more. Called him back tonight with a counter offer for $200 under his counter offer and he accepted it. Going sometime next week (probably monday!!) to pick it up. She is only 7 now, (will be 8 in November) so she can't race until next year. But we can get some practice runs and get her use to the car. Maybe by then we can figure out how to tune the thing. The Briggs is no BBC!!

Thanks. The daughter likes it too. When we went over to look at it last saturday she sat in it for about 15 minutes and she didn't want to get out!! Then when we were getting ready to leave she didn't want to leave since we weren't taking it with us. But it wouldn't fit in the trunk of the car!!

We will see how she does and how well she will mind us now!!

Sweeeeeet machine!!! 60HP from a 5 HP motor is definitely getting all it has to offer, hell that's about all my LUV has. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

Make sure she knows how to exit the track... A few I have seen a few kids hit another kids car one was injured but not bad... Maybe it should be called track etiquette.

I don't think it could be much worse than the Luv!! But knowing me, I will probably end up trying to get in it.

That is quite a bit of power from a small engine.



I haven't heard of any crashes but when a friends grandson started race he was turning off the track and was going a little too fast went up on 2 wheels. Didn't crash but very close. He was use to riding go-karts!!

Got the jr dragster home tonight. Now we have to start working on it to get it to fit her better. Hoping to get it out to the track later this summer for her to get some seat time.

Last week the wife and I were working on making some padding for the seat so she could sit up a little higher and I decided to see if I could fit in the car. It was a little tight and I almost got stuck getting in!!

A couple weeks ago I got her in the car and had her make a few little runs in the car in the alley behind my house. She did awesome. So today we took it up to a friends house who has a longer driveway. Had her make some short launches and had her do a little longer one. Well that is where things turned for the worse. She kept going and nosed it right into the grass ditch and broke the fiberglass nose. So I have more work to do now before we get it to the track. Luckily she wasn't hurt except her pride.

i had a go-cart with a 5hp brigs i just tickered around with it and got it to go about 35-40 mph =D est.

It is amazing what you can do with those little 5 hp briggs. There are a few of the faster jr dragsters that have around 60 hp!!!

Glad she is ok and she and you both can chalk it up to experience now. Now she has a better idea of how the brakes work and what she can and can't do with it. Just part of the learning and getting used to it. It sucks, but it's all good.
