Expecting light snow and sleet tonight. Don't you just hate this global warming?

Dog trainer, don't make snow angels in yellow snow... Or pick up those snicker bars. It is nuts, we could get 1"-4" of snow.... I remember when it froze last time and my dogs could not get up and down the ramp off the porch... You should see a french bulldog try to put the brakes on the ice covered ramp... I thought I was going to die laughing I almost did not make it down to help all the dogs get back up inside  . I even had it painted with no skid(sand) paint... Opps that doesn't work with ice..

We have the camera all charged up and ready!! Image

The last substantial snow in Houston was about 3-4 inches in 1973... my Mom slipped and broke her nose that day... Image

Gotta love this global warming!!! Image

When will they ever figure out that man is not in control of this earth? Image

lol, isn't the new term "global climate change"?

Still dry. Definitely not liking the fact that I actually kick up dust when I leave the driveway. lol, at least there's enough moisture to get dew on my LUV that turns the dust to mud... and now the temp drop turns it all the frozen mud.
C'mon rain!!!

Snowing some in College Station... The TV station weather internet site keeps lowering the low tonight... Nothing compared to what you snowbirds get  Looks like Houston is getting more than we are.

Alright, so, last night about 2am (dumb idea), my friend and I decided to go find snow...
There isn't much until around 7,000ft... California's definitely gonna burn next summer.

But, it was 14 degrees at the pass closure...

Was supposed to rain today... sunny :econfused :( . C'mon rain!!!
Wish the stuff that was happening around Dog Trainer's neck of the woods was happening here...

Envious of all you guys east of the Rockies...

Man, if I could find a reasonable way to get it here, I'd take it. lol, snow is our drinking water, summer fire suppressant and winter industry... We live off of it during the summer. Man, there's a reason why I'm happy when I have to shovel snow. More snow= less fire, so send it all!

BUT!!!

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PST THIS
EVENING FOR THE MOTHERLODE AND WEST SLOPES OF THE NORTHERN SIERRA
NEVADA.

* SNOW LEVEL: LOWERING TO NEAR THE SURFACE OVERNIGHT.

* MAIN IMPACT: STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 16 INCHES
FOR THE FOOTHILLS WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WITH 2 TO 3 FEET
LIKELY ABOVE 3000 FEET FOR THE WEST SLOPES OF THE NORTHERN
SIERRA.

* OTHER IMPACTS: SOUTHWEST WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WILL RESULT IN
AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY AT
TIMES.

I know it's not much compared to what everybody else gets, but it's big enough for CA. :)
Maybe if it does this for a few weeks I'll join you guys in the grumbling, but for now, I'm ecstatic. Bossman said he'd open if he got 2 feet. I'm gona have a job! :D

lol, all the elementary schools are opening late, the highschools are running a late schedule, and the college is closed 'til noon because of a power outage. I know, we're wussies, but people out here are a little dumb... I'll post pics in the comedy forum of the accidents (if I get to see any) . It's gonna be a mess out there today...

Sorry for the ccrazy long post, but this is cause for celebration!

Dogtrainer, if I'm ever there in your area and it's dumping snow, I'll shovel it for ya.

PapaG, did you move to Oregon without telling us?
