It may sound a bit odd... but would a short shifter from a Mustang with a t-5/t-45 bolt and work on a t-5 in a Camaro?? what about from a t-56 to the same?

The first seems logical, the second is a pure lack-of-knowledge question. But the only stupid question is a question that isnt asked...

I ask only because short shifters for the other two are much cheaper than a t-5 camaro.

I would appreciate any input and thank all those who respond in advance,
