well after waiting for about a whole racing season (lol) im finally a owner of a pup. well it was kinda worth the wait. i didnt have to pay a penny for it, so thats a good deal. the auto teacher gave it to me in pay for taking care of the schools race car for the whole season. so im gonna get it registered next wednesday, and then im good to go.

i wish. i remeber a couple years ago there was a luv header at the junkyard. it was a hooker too. but i didnt have anything that i needed it for and i never saw it again. kinda wish i would have picked that up.

but i would like to put a weber on this thing. the "whatever-it-is" stock carb is a POS. but since it works i aint gonna mess with it. thi sis the first vehicle that ive owned that ran and drove home.

well i finally remembered to take some pics of the pup. i put some new wheels on it last week. i also put a MSD box on it. at first i though it wouldnt really do anything, but now it starts up alot easier, and its revs noticably faster. so im happy about that.

heres some pics.

theyre just some stock isuzu wheels. they didnt have center caps, but a 4in cap would work with them.

well i took the hi-piece-of-shitty off. the accelerator pump on it was toast. i held the carb up in the air and pumped the hell out of it and it barley dripped. so now the weber adapter is on, and ill be getting the carb tommorow. i should have it up and running by tommorow evening.

heres a pic of how far i got.

How much was the MSD box?? and would it work with my points setup, or would i have to convert over to electronic ignition first to make it work?

the msd box was free. and yes it will work with points. youll even hook it up just like i did. the MSD box really has nothing to do with your dist. its just an intermediate to the coil.
