I love my Ford 8O
Ive been cruisin around in my 64 F-250 all day and i must say i love that truck. The 223 I-6 in it runs VARY Smooth (smoother than my dads 98 4.3L S-10) and it has plenty of power to satisfy me. That and the looks from older guys i get is priceless. Im not used to peoiple watching drive through intersections and stuff. So i must say i love this Ford. 8)

IMO the 223 straight 6 was one of the best engines ever made. right up there with the old dodge slant 6s ....those things were damn near indestructible

nothing wrong w/ lovin a old ford pickup.........now if it was say, a 78 ford fairmont id say you was sick in the head :P

We had a 98' 4.6l gran marque that we used to run around in, yes it was junk, the rear was going out, the check engine light kept coming on when there was no problem with the car, and on top of that my mom cracked the intake manifold, y? b/c some idiot was flying down a exit ramp and she gunned it, when we took it to the ford dealer and got it fixed it was like $300, and for what? A chunk of PLASTIC that was called an intake manifold...

and if you think that ford doesn't make a plastic manifold (which about 3 guys i know said there wasn't) here's a helpful link.

the 223 is a sweet motor but the built 300 I-6 from my 82 is goiung into it soon. I just have to fab up a tranny crosmember and motor mounts and ill have an extremly high performance six in my 64 (300hp and 500lb ft  )
Oh and i found out why these so much torque whith this truck, 4.88 rear end and a 6.40 first gear. Can you say gear reduction 8O

So now maybe this thing will go down the highway too. Right now whith the 4.88s it sounds like it going to throw a rod at 55mph
