I'm not 100% sure but it looks like a 70's half ton.

73-78 chevys are so similar it is hard to tell. The grill, headlights, and mirrors look just like the 78 my parents bought new back in the day though. That pic also doen't show enough to tell a whole lot. For example, from that angle I couldn't say for sure if it is a 2wd or 4x4. That would give you a start on the model, K for 4x and C for 2x. It looks a little low to be a 4WD, but it could be sitting in a hole and the pic could be from a high angle.

1/2 ton would have less than 8 lug wheels, 3/4 or 1 tons will have 8 lugs.

A pic of the interior might help, though I am really rusty on that stuff so I don't know for sure how much it will help. If you can get that though, you should be able to get the VIN code and then we can just look it up.

The grill makes it a 73-74.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

If you give me the VIN number than I can decode it for you.

I didn't catch the differences in the grill at first. It does look earlier. Also, I believe the amber turn signal lenses point to an earlier truck, by 77 they were using clear lenses with amber bulbs.

It is hard to pin it down exactly though. I think I see a solid vinyl seat in there, so that might point to a lower end trim package. i.e. Not a Silverado with the nice cloth seat and shiny dash trim. Other than that, the picture just doesn't have quite enough info in it.

As 684 said, get the vin and we could tell you more about it than you'd want to know. There are several VIN decoder websites around that could give you year/model info along with engine/drivetrain data.

that grille whent up through 80 im prety shure. 1/2ton 2wd will have 5lugs and 4x4s will have 6lugs. The 3/4and 1tons will have 8lugs.

The round headlights indicate that it's got to be between 73 and 78. In 79 they started with the rectangle headlights.
