Just got a 94 Ford Ranger with the 2.3 8-plug motor and a 5-speed for $100!! Needs a motor. Got a used motor for $500. Doing front seals, timing belt, rear main seal, water pupm, plugs & wires, oil pan gasket, and front brakes. Already has new tires, shocks, exhaust, and clutch when I got it!! I'm gonna make enough to finish my LUV restoration. Will be posting pics of the LUV before and after soon.

Thanks man! The motor is going in the Ranger Saturday and next week the body work begins on the LUV. I'll try to get a few pics of the LUV in the next couple of weeks.

The Ranger runs like a top and I've got over 1000 miles on the used motor! Got my parts last Saturday for the LUV and now the real work begins! I've got a LOT of work to do! Got the brakes in the truck done Saturday and the rear end swapped. Hope to pull the motor this weekend and begin re-gasketing it. Also hope to get the interior started this weekend. The stuff in the old cab is in great shape and will look good with the Electric Blue that will eventually cover the new project! I'm hating replacing my original but the darn thing is so beat up and rusted out that I really have no choice. Besides, I got a good, rust-free truck out of Texas to work with and I'll have all of the drivetrain from mine so I guess it'll be ok. I'll post pics of the trucks soon!
