my Nissan finally died

blew a crater between #3 and #4 cyl on the head. ill get pics. yall gotta see this. also pretty sure it spun a rod.

i bought another engine off a guy at work but its from a 91 and is totally different.

i just dont wanna ass with it anymore.

so for the last 3 weeks i have been borrowing my uncles truck thru the week for work and driving the bike (freezing my ASS off!!) on weekends that he needs the truck. its a 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy w/ 350 bored .040 and 4spd 8O fun as hell to drive but DAMN it drinks gas.

and now for the darkside part. my buddie has a nice little 89 civic LX 4 dr that he bought just for the engine. well he found another engine cheap and the car runs too good to just scrap for the engine. so i told him tonight that i would trade him even the Nissan for the Honda. and he could leave it in my garage till we get it running again. he is seriously considering it.

i will be truckless, but this crap of borrowing vehicles is getting real old real quick.

the current plan is get the Honda, as good gas MPG as my SV650 and i dont have to freeze my ass off on the way to work in the mornings. sell the LUV project (which is now sitting in the yard thanks to the Nissan and Kaw 454 rat/bobber project) and buy a old beater truck to haul crap when i need to.

anyone know how to mount a gun rack in a civic? :P

i just did something similar... and trust me... you'll be back!!!. I bought a Honda Civic Hatchback that got 31mpg and drove that around for a while before it recently failed smog and I ended up having to throw a head gasket at it... now that its back on the road, I still get revved on by all the fag ricers and so im fed up with the POS and its great gas mileage. I started driving my 1989 1500 Chevy to keep me from going nuts. 320k miles and she still easily gets 16mpg with my foot buried in it. my baby still hauls ass, sounds great but looks like ass and damn she getting wore out. bottom line is im done with the dark side already. time to move on.... and this is why:
