According to Isuzu, the tranny takes 30W engine oil, not 90W gear lube. Never heard of a tranny screwed up from running 90W, but it isn't what the manufacturer recommends.

The previous owner of my dad's truck took it to an express lube when it was back at 100,000 (it's now 230,000) and had the trans oil drained and filled in it. They put 80/90 in it and soon after it left the place the bearings soon started to whine, he took it back and the manager paid for his trans to be re-built.

BTW, does anyone know of anything like undercoating or something I could use to block-out some of the road noise I hear in my cab? Right now i'm thinking of just undercoating the whole bottom of the cab.

I had a 74 Datsun that looked like that. It topped out at a whopping 62MPH on the interstate!
