Tempting me with cubic inches I see LOL I shouldn't even ask, but what does he want for it? A runner or just a core?

I dont know what he wants for it I asked his the other day and he said make me an offer. I think it might have some bottom end bearing problems but im not sure for sure. Other than Im sure it has good heads. Its in a 82ish 1-ton right now. Im off work today and my brother is off today too if you get back to me before I decide to go bug him I will ask him any questions you have.

Well the best I could offer on something like that would be about $150, cause it falls into the "unknown core" catagoey. I paid $400 for the last big block and it was garenteed crack free and was a choice (less than 25k miles) gen iv, then I sold it a month later. I dont pay much for junk cores just cause I dont know if they are cracked. Im on my way after work tonite to pick up my 6th 350 short block, I scored it for $50 which is fair since half the time they are cracked, and I only use the blocks.

oh about the cooling lines... when i ran a tranny cooler on my GTO, I went to the junkyard and got the fittings out of a tranny along with about 6 inches of the lines, then I went to the auto parts store, got some fuel and oil resistant hose that could take 150 psi and I flared the line pieces I had, pushed the hoses over and clamped with good hose clamps. Then I had the option of running my hoses anywhere.
Or Russell has braided hoses that will work for that, but that defeats the budget buildup most of us work with.

I just installed my transmission cooling lines this past weekend. You will need 3/8 brass fittings to hook up to the tranny and radiator. I used fuel lines for the hose's. I bought brass fittings that had a flared or bell end which went into the radiator, and had a 90 degree bend in them. For the tranny you can get a straight fitting that has a bell shape on one end. These fittings cost more, but you will not take a chance braking the ends that they screw into on the tranny and the radiator. This is TH350 tranny. Hope this helps.

I think I can figure the trans lines out now just a matter of making the time to physically do it. LOL there is no joke about Dereks garage he should have a sign out front that says something like "Small block parts depot" By the way thanks for the torque converter.
