i guess i could find a bare block :D while i was on vacation in cincinnati my sisters husband gave me a 93 camaro 305. the block was way to heavy to drive back but i did grab everything else. one 2 barrel setup, a 4 barrel/aluminum setup, and a tpi setup. the engines been bored so i want to drive a truck back by the end of the year and get it. i just need something to mockup with :D

93 Camaro's came with a 350 LT1. I prefer to use the real thing for mock up. I use a full long block. Crank, rods, pistons etc. that way you can get your suspension and ride height dialed in too. and the old junk blocks people pretty much give them to you.

Good advice, just get a junk block from a local machine shop, I know one of the shops by me just stashes the "junk" out back, not that I ever scavenge blocks lol. Hey so whats the deal on those LT1 motors? I can pick one up for $250 a complete runner, with the cool looking EFI, but I guess there is no selection of intakes for them, and im not real big on EFI yet, otherwise I would have grabbed it. Even had aluminum heads and roller valvetrain.

In last months Chevy High Performance mag, they had a carb set-up for a LT1. Edelbrock or MSD, or both, makes it. It was pretty trick though. If you're interested I'll try to find it again.

that's a great price for a complete LT-1. There are a few induction options out there for these engines and EFI is actually fairly easy to get setup from all the research i've done. easy maintenance and better milage with the efi and if i remember correctly the aluminum heads are from a 'vette.
