I was driving home the other evening, and passed the same motorcycle dealership I've been passing for 2 years now, and happened to look over. Saw a little Honda Rebel sitting in the garage. Stopped and asked him how much. $1000 bucks.

It's a 1986, in immaculate condition. Just 19000 miles on it, and it rides like a dream. It's a little small for me, but I just bought it for the hell of it. I'm no biker, and I have no desire to go over 65 mph with nothing between me and the pavement.

Any other "bikers" out there?

I'm 6 feet tall, and 250 pounds, and it gets me around just fine...

I'll want a bigger one before long.

Trying to talk the wife into a new VTX when I get home  but she said we have to buy a house first. She doesn't want any new loans taken out before we buy a house. I'd be mad if it didn't make so much damn since. 8O 8O

I ride a Yamaha Dragstar (Vstar) 1100 Custom

rear lowered 2.5"
200 rear tire
custom seat
Barons drag bars
custom marker lights
Hard Krome American Classic short pipes (baffles removed)
modded air box
side mount license plate
coming soon: stretched tank, new paint, raked front end and billet wheels
Ive owned so many bikes I cant even remember.. enduros to sport bikes to HD's but this is definitely one of my favorites

I'm looking for a cheap bike (Rebel or 250 Ninja) to get back and forth between our two buildings that are a mile apart from eachother. Rebels are the Hyundai's of the motorcycle world but ya gotta love em Image

keep the exhaust tight (up against the head), because it tends to work loose on the rebels. Oh and use antisieze on those threads also.

I got a Kawasaki KLX 300 dirt bike with a Baja Designs dual sport, street legal kit. It has a header pipe, pumper carb, manual compression release, crankcase breather kit and some other stuff to make it better suited to fit me. Now it's got enough snap to easily lift the front tire up in to the air just by quickly twisting the grip. That says alot out on the trail with my fat ass loading things down.

oh my god.......i had one of those..... it took me months to get used to the shifter and brake being on the wrong sides.

my first bike was a 71 Yamaha AT 125 2 stroker...had an oil resivore and a pre mixer so i could buy pump gas.half the scars on my body came from that bike.

last summer i picked up a Buell M2 Cyclone.it's a 1200 cc harley motor on a crotch rocket frame . got the dual mickey carbs and a race header. did a few body mods so if i dump it all the fairing doesn't disentegrate.

i have a photo posted in "other rides" this bike has got to be the best of both worlds, i got it up to 165 mph last fall and scared the hell out of myself.(psst....don't tell my wife)

.

My father in law got the very first green sticker ( Ca. off road license) on his Taco. He did a lot of lobbying to not have the land closed and to sticker the bikes . So when it went through he had his taco on the steps of the capital , Governor Reagan put the sticker on and then, dressed in his suit, my father in law rode his bike down the stairs of the capital in Sacramento. My wife has newspaper clippings from it.

I loved my cb400f , had all the rat bike perks. like nothing but ahead and tail light extra long forks offa something with homemade clip ons oh yeah a 4into 1 with a supertrapp welded on right at the collector. sold it when the wife got pregnant. I still regret that, anybody interested in a 69 yamaha LT5 .I dont have time to make it work, but its in really good shape.
