Try sanding a rusted out truck like mine was! That sucks to the tenth power.

well this is what i have so far :( ohh well its my first truck ahh heck its my first evrything :) ohh yes i almost forgot thank all u guys Thank u Big J (Blue Meanie) Big J has been helping me a lot thanks again ill keep updating the progress pics.

ALL of it?.....nope....just be sure to get the rust REAL good if you dont it will come back to haunt you......be sure to look out for bubbles in the paint...this is a indication the there is rust under the paint there
i would however go over the areas of paint that you are not removing with some 400 grit sandpaper, just to rough it up a little, this will give the primer something to "bite" onto

well this is what i have so far also made that shiny grill fit. (expensive grill!! 100 bucks) well i kind of like it. it didnt fir perfect but ohh well. here what i have done to the truck so far.

Hey man, its coming along well. I would suggest that you sand that primer and look for low spots. You might be suprised how many there are. These trucks are made with some pretty thin sheet metal and it dents easily. It will be easier to fix them now. My friend and I put close to 50 hours each into my truck just getting it ready for paint. Once we were done with all the body work, we put 3 coats of primer on, and sanded 3 times, and its still not a perfectly straight truck! Anyway, good luck!
