Looks like my tranny is finally cutting loose. Its been making a knocking noise for some time now, but now its realy bad. Should be interesting to see how bad it is and if i make it back to Spokane to swap in my spare... :lol:

I know the feeling of impending doom :lol: I made it 75miles before my clutch let go on me, and it was whining like a banshee the whole way, good thing I have a semi decent stero in my truck :twisted:

man dillon, you ad me both. i think i toasted another tranny in the pup. i was drivin to the ford dealership and it started knockin like crazy for a sec, then stopped. then a couple days back, i got something jammed between the gears in the tranny, and i couldnt move the truck.

i need to start looking for a tranny pretty soon.

well its done now. I tryed to go to the back this morning and it started sounding realy bad. I pulled out of the parking lot heard a screech then a clunk then all it does is grind. Im realy interested in cracking it open to see how toasted it is...

MEPR when you stick your next trans in your trk do your self a favor and get some belray 80w at your motorcycle shop and put it in you will be amazed at how the trans shifts and lasts heck i even have it in my T-10 in my truck and i have used it in many T-5 trans to keep them alive.

Well my LUV is once again terrorising the streets. The 79s tranny i had is wisper quiet compared to the 80s. Life is good... :)

well the more i drive the truck now the more im thinking the 80s tranny was binding perty well. I dont have to ride the clutch near as much. I guess i realy screwd that trans... :lol:
