You better fix the leaks first. Sound like it could be a thermostat gasket. But your engine isn't stock is it?

Oh yea, i fixed the leaks yesterday and took the truck for a long drive. I must have cruised around for about 2 hrs. No leaks noted after that.
I got a smallblock under the hood. On the way back to the house, i met up with my next door neighbors at an intersection. They followed me thru town and i came to a complete stop about 100 ft before a stop sign. Before they could wonder why i was stopped, i punched it and put on a tire smoke show for them. Now im in a little hot water because im putting ideas into their sons mind.

That's why I won't let my 8-year old son read over my shoulder! I'll warn him about you!!!!!!! LOL

It's all good. We all like the exhilaration of a well-made engine producing thrust more powerful than our own, ever since we had our first wagon. I don't think the neighbors kid is going to be exempt from learning all there is in life whether it be from you or another. Most of us who are parents want our son or daughter to be a
:lilangel:

But it doesn't usually happen; at least not with you, right?

Actually, my next door neighbor (His name is John too) has dreams of building a killer Jeep to do some off roading. But he sees his plans getting started after his kids are out on their own. Shelly (Johns wife) is the one thats keeping a lid on things.
John was over alot when i did the 400 motor swap. He's a gearhead at heart but he just doesn't have the room in his busy life to get things going.
I can picture John and Travis working side by side building a cool Jeep in the back yard. He's got a shed full of tools and a cement slab that's big enough to park a Jeep body and frame.
John thought the burnout thru town was pretty cool, Shelly didn't. It's enough on her to keep a lid on stuff like that and i didn't help her cause.
I can almost hear John and Travis whooping it up when i did the burnout! And on that same note, i can almost hear Shelly pointing out how childish that was. Now dont get me wrong, Shelly is good people and it shows because her kids are just great. She's a mother hen protecting her little chicks. Travis is a huge kid and would have been an asset if he were to have gotten into Football. Shelly killed off and ideas of Travis getting into contact sports. This most likely bummed John out because he played Football thru High school. And the fact that Cove made it to the state championship finals this year can only make John wonder what it would have been like if Travis were on the team.
Was i flaunting my trucks muscles? You Bet!!! Was it childish? Yes it was!
But hey, at least 3 guys thought it was cool.

Make that 4! And shame on Shelly for not letting Travis be all he could be in a great football state like Texas!! Remind your neighbor that you only have one life to live, and he shouldn't put it off any longer. Let freedom ring!!!!

Nice lounge! :drinking:
