Hey all, today was the first good day of driving my luv. (it just came back from the shop to get it runnin). It ran good for about 20-25 miles of driving time, and then, while hitting the brakes to stop at a stop sign, i leave a 200 yard line of white smoke. Also right before i stopped, the truck letout a pretty decent low 'pop' which sounded like a backfire.
So I drive it home and park it for about 2 hours. When i jump in it, it starts great, but now it 'pops' when the motor winds down during shifts, with a poor running acceleration. I don't know what to do. Thanks for any help, you guys. -Nick

Check for something simple like a vacuum leak. Spray some carb cleaner on gaskets and fittings to see if the idle changes.

White smoke usually means coolant, but yeah definatley check with carb cleaner, that usually will let you see which one is cracked or not on all the way.
