Yea, i met that dude with the white luv , he's a nice guy . There were a couple of luvs there . All nice guys . i'm going to try and make it out on the 16th for the next one . I had fun . I came here when I got the truck and used this forum as a guide line to build it . I love to race , but don't care to hassels with a full blown race car. So i go a little mellower and street drive it . Next time you see the truck come by and say hi.

For the last couple of days I have been moving the radiator away from the water pump and installing the flex fan . I finally fiunished this and now It appears I have no overheating problems . I let it idle for 20 minutes last night and it barely got to 170 . Going to track test it tonight  i'll try and get some pictures and an update monday .

Stillstuck in the 12's . 60' went down to 1.64 . Put down a 7.6 8th , but I need a better fuel pump . it's laying down about 1100' mph @110 . I Need slicks cause it's hit or mis on traction on the line . The air was awesome , calculated out to like 700' below sea level or something. 48* super low humidity, sun on the track all day , slight north wind in your face . Track went away about 9 pm . Made 6 passes and only got put down by a blown fox mustang that ran 10.75 . A real fun night. Dyno tuning sestion to come .

Took the truck racing again this weekend . I bought a set of 28 x 9 x15 slicks on weld drag lights . this turn out to be my down fall this week end as the taller tire , I was running a 26" 235/60/16 drag radial , took me from a 1.64 60' to a 1.80 60 ' and slowed the whole program down . The racing is done for the season , until january , so i'll concentrate on the trans brake and rebuild . This thing will go 11.?? i hope . Just wanted to post and let ya'll know I'm still here . Just doing alot of racing and I am on vacation . I have not checkeed it out , but there should be some pics on Hotrodgossipcom.

Just thought I'd post an update . I've been working 60-72 hours a week as we have a shutdown/turnaround at work . Been doing a little wrenchin while working nights . I have a 650 demon that originally came with70/76 jets . I have moved down slowly to 68/74's I think I went to far with the primaries and will go back to 70 and move the rears to 72 . I bought a set of 26 x 8.5 x15 M/T slicks and had those mounted tonight . Hope they will hold the power and give me back the gear I lost when I went with the 28's . I bought a dash pad cover and will have that installed soon . I have been test fitting the A/C condenser as it won't be long before the heat is back . I have not decided on flooring , be it carpet , ruber mat , or spray in bed liner . I have been thinking about putting a little tool box in the bed , so I can carry a few tools with me (and maybe a big blue bottle? ). I have already gone through one set of drag radials and have switched back to a standard tire for street duty . This makes tunning tuffer as traction is harder to come by. I'm on my third oil change and have switched to delo 15-40 . The truck is running good and I have chassis dyno coming up to try and fine tune it . Also gonna ad some type of cup holder and a metal clip for timeslips and a pen . Well sorry for the long post , just thought i'd let you know what's going on .

sounds like your truck is running pretty good, cant wait to see what mine will do as im just about done with the build up of the truck, set the new 454 small block in the other day, far from as pretty as that sweet blue truck but im going for weight, i just weighed the truck with the motor and tranny in it and tipped the stock car scale at a wapping 2200 pounds.

Took the truck out friday night . First time this year it's been sitting since dec. and the clobberthon . The air down here , 10 miles from the gulf of mexico/ Galveston bay , was thick with humidity . Temp was about 78* and almost foggy . Got 7 passes in . I moved back to 70/72 jets and just kept adding timing every round . Added 2 * timing in between each pass . I kept thinking " this thing is gonna ping bad " but it never did , it just kept going faster . Got it down to 12.23 @110 . But 60' times never came around . Looking forward to putting it on the Chassis dyno . The 110 is my fastest mph so far . Having alot of fun with the little truck . Worked on the Camaro most of the day . Replaced both rear floor pans  . Anyway plans are to run clobberthons once a month and pinks all out is coming March 17 to the quarter mile track. Just thought i'd update . Need to post some current pics .

Cevan Put a rack&pinion on that truck as it will knock about 45lbs. off the nose and go to a vented rotor about 15-20 lbs. any thing off the nose would really help.
