My buddy was telling me his kids had talked to him about having his Camaro done on Overhaulin(which defeats the purpose of the show) so we decided to look at the show application. It mentions that the car owner has to pay tax on any improvements. So we are thinking, shit, how much tax could there be?

I thought that it was whoever nominated the vehicle for the show (ie wife, son/daughter) that paid everything?

I was thinking the tax on the parts. It doesnt say anything about the parts themselves, just the tax. But if he would have to pay tax on the type of stuff they put into those cars, 8O. New crate motor, new trans, rear end, all the stereo stuff and interior and the paint and body materials. Oh, and cant forget the Foose wheels. You could easily end up with a $2000-3000 tax bill I bet. Small fee for the result but I know he doesnt have that laying around or me either. Id lend it to him if I had it.
