I have been looking into getting a new project since I sold the jeep. I have a limited purchase budget of around $1500. I have found a 1967 elcamino with no motor or tranny for $400 , pretty clean and i have a 350/700r4 in the garage . Or I found a 1976 L-82 t-top vette that is complete and been sitting for a year. It was the guys wifes when they married and they parked it a year ago . He says fresh gas , clean the carb , and a hot battery it will run $1000 . Just looking for opinions . I was looking for a convetible origanally.

Camino!!! Dont know why but when someone gets a vette for some reason they turn into an Ahole!!! Not sure why but have never met a cool vette owner, not saying it will happen to you but it must be something in the fiberglass. Plus the camino is a truck!!!!

I'm 6'3" and the vette was not what he said it was. The elcamino is owned by a biker friend so I know it is what it is. Any other suggestions ? I would love to have a Nova or 67-72 pick up.

I was going to say get the Vette fix it up and sell it for more, if it doesn't need too much. But now you said it wasn't all that great I'd go camino.

Pic is coming . Panhard rod is missing , 3 " drop spring in front , 4" drop springs in rear , posi turned into 2 series open cerrier with spacer for 3.73 and mini spool , e brake cables have been cut , wiring is in bed , bed has rust issues . I wish the vette dude could have come up with a title . Now I have to bring anouther one from the dead . I'm getting to old for this . Pics to follow. If i'm going to put forth this much effort I should be building a factory five roadster .
