Ruger Mark II .22
looks like this, but not quite as pretty and new

Image

paid $0 for it.

my buddie has been joensing for a bike for awhile. well another buddie had a nice little Honda 500 Interceptor. so they did some trading around for it. so now buddie #1 needs a helmet so i let him borrow my old Vega until he gets one. so i stop down to his house later and he hands me this pistol. i say "nice, but ive already seen that one" he says "keep it. i was gonna sell it so i could have money for a helmet but ill just trade ya for yours if ya want"

fun little gun. accurate as hell too.

Cool pistol . They make a kit to make it easy to clean . I just wash mine in penetrating oil when it jams and it's good as new. One of the best pistols ever made . Ruger is good stuff. rifle, pistol, shotgun have a p85 with over 1000 rounds, never jammed.

Dad has one. He used to take it with us on fishing trips to shoot at snapping turtles. That was better than the fishing.

I had one of those but in nickel and longer barrel. it was one of my fav target pistols. u can shoot it all day for $16 with no ear protection and its accurate as hell. I ended up selling it to get a Beretta NEOS Hot .22 like this Image
but i really miss it and want to get another one. I highly recommend one to anybody that wants to get into guns. its a good entry level plinker.

Larp,
Is your Mark II a bull barrel (tapered)? or does it look exactly like above?

Damn you... ever since you posted this Ive been thinking about getting me another Mark II. I came across a used one for cheap but its a bull barrel. I dont like it as much as the regular barrel but its hard to ignore the price ($230) so i may end up buying it... oh I am also going to pick up another NEOS but this time in a 6" barrel. I will give my old 4" barrel to the wifey to shoot since I sold her 9mm a few months ago when money was tight.
