Im from Washington state, sedro-woolley area. Ive had my 81 luv for four years now and need some help. my original motor is still in the truck but while I was in Iraq for the last year it broke down. My father tried to fix it and took off the head. Since then its been sitting that way and the cylinders are all rusted up. Im not sure what other damage has been done but I would really like to drive it again some day. If anyone out there knows of a place preferably with in western washington to get it completely rebuilt or puchase a rebuilt motor please let me know.
Also my other option is to sell, Ill try to get some pics up at a later date for those interested, Its an 81, 4x4 midnight blue, 3inch body lift. If interested please contact e-mail me at waggyscout@hotmail.com and well see if we can make a deal.

I've got two complete bottom ends. (sans oilpan)

$50 for both and you can take the best parts from both or use one as a core.

I found a local place for me in the Recycler. You might try Auto Trader or any local Penny Saver type paper.
Try your yellow pages too.
Pep Boys, Kragen ,and the like can get them, but they want about $1500. A local shop should be less. Mine was about $950.

Has anyone used Rebuilt.net? I am also wondering is it worth to to use them based on that it will cost extra money to ship the core back.
