 Post subject: Vacuum Advance
PostPosted: Sun May 28, 2006 11:23 am
I've notice that at full temperature ~ 190 and 65 to 70 mph that the engine has a slight hesitation. Gas mileage is down to 19mpg. I don't know if the vacuum advance would help. Right now it's disconnected due to diaphragm leak. I'm driving 100 miles per day and the gas prices are killing me... [/list]

I would think it would help. that part is available and I think it's around $20.00.

And do you have the vacuum port capped?

I replaced the vacuum advance and fuel filter yesterday.. It seems to be running better this morning (cool morning).. Let's see how it runs today on the ride home (low 90's today).. The only thing left to replace is the carburetor.
