Im not getting back crap. So i kept putting it off. With the axle getting fixed maybe by this weekend, i figured i'd be doing good to get that out of my way so i can zero in on getting my truck rolling again.

If you get back, that means uncle Sam had your $ and they earned interest off it all year instead of you.

If you owe them, well, that just sucks paying because you probably don't have it to pay.

The idea is to guess as best as you can to come out even. If you can put $20 or more in a savings acct. every paycheck and let it build up and earn interest for you.

very true, but some of us non disciplined folks spend it, instead of saving like we,re supposed to. What I do stemmed from having to pay $126 dollars one year and I said "never again." So this works well for me...

I usually get about $1,000 back each year, but I switched to a new job and I had to pay in $15 this year.

Uncle Sam must rip you guys, ive never had to pay and always get money back (touch wood), the amount varies of course.

But downunder isnt a tax haven its the opposite. The low and middle income brackets pay to keep things going. If i crack 50k for the year i pay the same as some goose that earns 90k.
