yep I saw you cruise through. After waiting around for about a half hour We decided that no one else was going to make it so we went to the drag strip to meet up with Toby and then it rained so I went home.

If you guys do anything tonight, post it and I will try to catch up.

Ok Im actually leaving right now to go get another battery for my truck and make some adjustments on it so I can go cruise around if the weather stay like this for a while.

Here's some pics from our mini meet at round table in the mall, we got stuck in the grid lock so we just parked em and went inside in the down pour! Im going to try to hit the track again tomorrow (baring rain) and get in the brackets, the track was pretty green today... Later!

Hey Body man just got the news after I missed 10 calls on my phone I know Toby and Dennis are at the strip right now so I am headed there too dont know who all is there but that where Im headed.

Well, we all made it home safe. Had a little trouble with ctmandu's truck, but was nothing major. A trip to the parts store a lil work and we were on the road headed home! The weather was a little hit and miss, but cooperated enough to let me run my truck down the strip a couple times. (I gotta say before D gets a chance to post any vids, or anything) This was my first time on a track!!!!! So, I had no friggin clue how things worked!!!! So remember that You guys know the song "can't get no satisfaction" well, luvnit couldn't get no damn traction I spun tires all the way to the end of the track 1st, 2nd, and I only hit 3rd one time towards the end of my last run, and it was a very squirrley experience My best time I think was like 18 seconds and 83 MPH They had just scrapped the track for the new season, and man I tell you, it was one slick S.O.B out there. Anyway, 75v8luv (Gabe) and ctmandu (Troy) are some awsome guys!!!!!! Those of you looser luvtruckers that didnt show Missed out on meeting some great guys!!!!! We had a little trouble with the Taco Bell meeting point. I guess Bodyman showed, but didnt see anybody. I had went to the track to get signed in, and since it was only me and ctmandu that brought our trucks, bodyman didn't see a luv, so I guess he took off Troy was running a little late, and didn't get there til later that night, so only Gabe and D met up at taco bell. I don't know what the hell hapend to Derek????? Never got to see him. I think he is just a figment of our imagination Zane never showed either Anyway, we got some good pics. maybe a vid or 2. The car show was pretty bad ass!!! So I will leave this for now with a " Gabe, Troy, meranda, joyce" It was great meeting you guys and gals, I had a blast, and I hope we can do this again soon, with a little better weather next time!!!!! Will continue this post later, gonna go hunt for Morrels this morning! C-YA---- T.

I must say I was a little disappointed with the turnout... I was looking forward to meeting Derek and Gabe, cause pretty much out of everyone who was going to go originally, those two are close enough to hook up with and hang out once in awhile. Got to meet Gabe anyway....
I seem to remember a dude on a harley pull in to Taco Bell, I was the only dude walking around the parking lot in a blue T-shirt freezing I think I walked right by you.
Well I'm sure some of us will meet up in the future
kinda weird 3 guys from oregon, and 1 from redding made the meet.
For those who missed you missed meeting a couple of really cool guys, Gabe and Troy thanks for making the weekend fun, and I hope we can hang out again sometime.

Yeah i totaly missed you guys both days! lol We rolled into taco bell about 6:45 (i think i may have noted i would be late) and we didnt see anyone I recognized.. Then we went to drop someone off over at the mall then got stuck over there and ended up going through the parade since my buddy had a pass, then got stuck in the rain for 2 hours (was not my plan!) and totaly scratched a track visit.. Then sat i thrashed on my car to get some stuff dialed and showed up out there about 2. My cell went dead as i tried to call Gabe so I didnt get a chance to call after that. Dang rain really kinda messed me up, my bad guys! The track was really green sat as you guys found out! I got pulled a few directions all weekend, sorry I missed meeting the gang! &@%$! Chalk one up for dumb ass derek lol

I just wish the weather would have been better so I could have had my truck out there. If the weather would have been better I probably would have replaced the battery in my LUV before I went to taco bell and maybe more people that cruised through the parking lot would have recognized what we were all looking for making it a better meet. I think we should get together down here again when the weather is better and plan on bringing the LUVs this time.

Well I have to say it was great meting the few and the proud that showed up to bad it was a Cali meet and the only Luvs where from Oregon. it was a great weekend I my truck purred like a kitten when we got ready to leave one of my jb weld plugs for the old smog rail popped out so we had to get a tap and a small plug to fix it and other then that the rebuild was great and no problems, and yes for the ones that didn’t show up you missed meeting some great people

Ya the rain really screwed the meet up, had it not rained we would have eventualy met up I know it, that was the plan! This is the last year they are running the event so early in april just cause it has seen rain the last 7 years of some sort.

I just rememberd that we met a couple guys at the track, and 1 guy said he was in the process of building a v8 luv, and said he visited our site all the time, and loved it!! So maybe he will join on of these days!!! Also, ctmandu said he is gonna check on renting a drag strip up north for another meet up north, so maybe we can hook up with some of the Washington, Oregon guys

Sorry to flake on you guys. I aggree that the rain played a big role in making things difficult. I think theres a poll somewhere that says California has the most luvs in one state and that the entire west coast has the majority of Luvs. Maybe there will be a meet this summer in
Orgeon or Cali?

Definently gotta do this again. I know ctmandu said something about trying to reserve a track up north for a meet this summer. We'll see what happends with that, but another nor cal meet is fine by me too!!!!
