 Post subject: sway bar ????

Anybody ever remove the sway bar in a luv for drag racing. does it make a difference in weight transfer. just wondering

It looks like you want you truck to go faster OK try this the removel of the swaybar dose help transfer as well as you don't need the extra wieght up front. Put ladder bars with sliders in back remove the overload spring mount some 50/50 shocks and you will be were you want and still be able to drive on the street. I have this and more on my truck aswell as more and it works. PS put a bigger rear in it some time so you can get the gears to optomize your combination.

cut it out. its too heavy. dont need it for going stait..

i have built 3 race trucks. mines is running 10.2 @ 130mph bbc / my buddy's is running 11.12 @ 119 sbc. the other one was just fabbed and owner never finished.. i can answer questions about building the luv's for drag racing.. local points champ last year. you can fab a lot of the parts needed.

yes removing the sway bar will help the front suspension extend faster. some ppl just unbolt the end links at the strip and bolt them back up for street driving but i think LUV's handly pretty crappy in the first place so i chucked my sway bar a long time ago.
