My collection of parts is coming together! So far I have:

SM465 (It's being delivered on Saturday)
GM 10-bolt (8.5") axles with 3.73 gears.
Just need the transfer case and the engine block and I can start fabricating mounts!

Oh, I guess before I do that I should get me a truck to work on. :-P

I had planned on it. :-) But if I can find something else that fits for a great price, I'll pick it up. This is a budget build for me afterall. I'm going to try and keep my total costs of parts under $2000, if possible.

Low res. pics from my camera phone. More and better pics to come as soon as Wally-World is done developing my film.

Oh, how things change. So far I've put $550 into my LUV, and I still have a LONG ways to go. I still have to buy mounts, have drive shafts made, buy a easy wiring kit, a new latch for the left side of the tailgate, new hood hinges, steering setup, and all kinds of other nickel and dime you kind of stuff.

They were used for 1 dyno pull, and that was it. Custom made by Sunset Racing for use at Texas Tech University.

boy i hopw those headers work for ya. they look like theyre gonna be too wide when theyre on the motor to fit between the frame rails.

good luck on the rest of the project though!!
