Everything short of EFI and a turbo or a super charger...
Alrighty heres the run down...
Bored .040 over, head was fully port and polished and milled .020 bringing the comp. ratio to roughly 9:1. The stock intake was smoothed and matched to the head, it has a weber 32/36 sitting on top of that, and it has an RV cam. It also has a Pace setter full length header whith 2" mandrel bent exsaust whith a Flow master 40 in there. And of course probly the best thing i ever did was the electronic ignition from an 82 G180/G200. And im rolling on about a 30" tire. The truck will rev out to 6,000rpm realy quick in first and second it runs out of power at about 5000rpm in 4th which is where the top end of my power band is at so that seems about right. In theory it should be making close to 160hp at 4900rpm and about 170lb ft at 3600rpm. I have never dynoed it but driving it it seems like these would be realistic numbers.

If you can find out exactly how much your truck weighs with you in it you could use this!

http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm

And i'm gonna take a pic of my speed when I'm goin to work and a 1/4 mile run behind my work via digicam!

I would have thought a stock LUV going 85 down the freeway would look like a jet exploding.

Been thinking about how to achieve hwy speeds in considering a tire size change. I'm in a 79' 4x4 with 15 inch wheels on a slight lift with 235/17 tires and am thinking about a set of 30x9.5x15s. From a speedometer standpoint the 235s are 10% over and the 30s would be 15% oversized - in other words creating an overall engine to road ratio (engine rpm x 4spd transmission gearing x 4.10 gears x tire diameter) that makes up for not having a 5th gear. I just rebuilt the weber 32/36, have full length headers, and pertronix ignition, but I'm not sure my little buddy can push around those bigger tires - any advice?
