I have a newly rebuilt 327 sitting on my engine stand with a weiand tunnel ram and 2 holley 4160 450 cfm mechanical secondary carbs. The motor is suppose to put out around 380-400 HP. My question is what kind of fuel pressure do I need to keep this thing from starving itself. I just ordered all the plumbing parts from summit including pressure regulator and gauge.

7-10 psi but it also depends on what the GPH rating of your pump is at those pressures.

I dont even have a fuel pump for it yet. I was also wondering if I should use an electric pump or a mechanical pump. I will probably go with electric. Its been a slow work in progress. Thanks for the info.
