 Post subject: Finding a LUV
PostPosted: Wed Feb 19, 2003 10:25 pm
Today is the first day i've ever even heard of a LUV, i saw a guy at school with one and at first just ignored it, but then i noticed it was made by chevy and thought it was an S-10...but the i looked at it more and was confused. I went on the net and found this web site. Now that i've looked in the gallery, i realize that i've seen a few luvs around where i live. One of them is really ugly because its painted with spray paint in about 20 differnt pastel colors and has peace signes on the doors 8O . If I find one that no one is driving, how much would they go for? Seems like it would be good for a project truck. Umm..and how fast would one with the 4 cylindar engine be? I currently drive a 1991 Chevy blazer with a 4.3L V6

Well CB you have come to the right place! :P Many people will help you here starting with me. The price of a Luv is fairly cheap considering the shape that it is in and the work that may or may not have been done to the truck also if it is a stock 1.8 which by the wya I think is a whopping 75 horsepower. I can talk smack about it cause mine is stil a four banger but most guys here have done a swap of some sorts mine unfortunately has to wait until I return from deployment. I am doig the V-8 swap I have a 283 for mine and will be aquiring a nice Th400 from another guy on this site. As far as price goes there is a topic posted in the general discussion called "How Much?" I believe and that discussion might give you a ballpark on the price ranges, mine was 500$ I have seen them bought for as little as 50$ and actually a couple of guys got theirs free!!! lol to as much as a couple of thousand. but just look around the site and have a good time and do not be afraid to ask ANY questions!!! Welcome to the site!!!

Yeah, welcome. Hey, get a digital camera and get a photo of the whack luv and send it to this sight. 8O I get as much thrills out of some of the crud out there as the rest.

luvs arent realy a fast truck, but they are a dependable and durable truck. And just ask around about everyother guy on this site has done a v-8 swap into the luv.
