I just received 3 e-mails from someone who informed me they hacked the LUV forums for my e-mail address. I'm not too happy about this.

I saved the e-mails and will take appropriate search and destroy measures against the hacker, both legally and otherwise. You messed with the wrong guy.

 Yeah, I got three as well this morning- I sent them to spam so hopefully I won't be getting anymore. What's up with this anyway? Can't it be "traced" to see who apparently has far, far toooooooooooo much time on their hands?

"Can't it be traced...."

Ha haha, WAY MORE THAN TRACED ha hahaha!!!! Just by coincidence two of my closest associates SPECIALIZE in just this sort of thing, as in tracing, locating and eliminating [permanently and completely]. Another good friend who works for the Govt. has a more than compelling interest. I've never known what exactly it is that he does as he's pretty vague, but apparently he does it pretty well from the looks of his house and the many new cars he drives. Got a feeling some little punk out there is going to have a very bad day/week/month/year/life, starting soon. If I was him I'd unplug my computer pack up my bags and move, possibly to a foreign country without extradition treaties with the U.S. Govt.

Like I said, they messed with the wrong guy....ha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Ya, sorry about that guys. The board has been restored from a copy made the day before the hack. I take partial responsibility for the problem since I've lagged on updating the boards security issues.

Listen up guys. This is important. I just posted something about this in another forum as well.

The emails originated from this bulletin board. If you trace the email IP origin, you will get the IP for our server in Texas that hosts our site. Please do not report that IP for spam. "The Planet" will shut down our server and there will be no more LUVTruck.com until I can find another server.

If you want to find out who it was, trace the web site that the hacker listed.

Understood, Ben. There was enough other 'dust' in the message to get a source I'm told. I don't understand this stuff all that well but these guys do, it's their living!

There's no 100% guarantee of any website or internet connected source being secure against all attacks. I've got topnotch custom security on my machines, but I still have a redundant drive that traps information just in case the master gets wiped. That way even though my system may be compromised on one of the drives one of the others has logged all the info and disconnected automatically, can't be accessed, and stands ready with a complete record of events. No, I didn't figure all this out, my buddies did. The way they described it to me, "No, it's not a bomb, it's just the fuse. We got the bomb...."
