Someone's brochure has a typo!

Seriously, the only way you could have a 4spd auto is to swap the tranny, the luv's only came with 2 trannie's, a 4spd MANUAL and a 3spd AUTO, sometimes a 5spd was used.

I see what you are saying about the brochure. It reads a little funny I suppose. BUt if you read down the column under 2wd and then 4wd and go down to the transmission column it reads like this

............................................2WD................4WD
TRANSMISSION STD............. 4-SPEED.........4SPD
.........................AVAIL..........AUTOMATIC.... ------

This means that the STD (standard trans) was a 4 speed for 2wd and 4wd and the AVAIL (optional) trans was an automatic for 2wd and none for 4wd.

the stock ones what???

do you mean the 1.8??? no difference in power if thats what your asking. and as far as power goes the tranny really has no impact as to how much power a engine makes.

just for future reference, if you could make you posts a bit more understandable people might be able to help ya out a bit more :?

well yeah, they have different first gears so the stick is going to be better off the line than the auto, and posibly better on the highway too considering the stick has one more gear than the auto.

Thanks btw for making your last post more understandable
It really does help alot!!!
