was there ever a factory convertable conversion kit ever made? i saw a luv on ebay that was a convertable and it said that it was a factory conversion kit. I highly dought this was ever available and the person on ebay is makin stuff up. never know what you can belive on ebay

no a factory offered option... maybe a conversion like the stepsides from cali custom

i thought the wheelwells looked different... i also don't care for the running boards.. but the convertible stepside look ain't too bad

I just got this reply from the "seller" when asked how do they know it is a factory conversion....

what i am thinking is a dealer conversion like was done during the van craze.. maybe some dealer got all this stuff done to a few LUV's and sold them new off the lot?
