I did the search and came up with a couple hits on these headers and in the discussions people were saying that these headers ahve a 1 3/4 primary but when i look at the sanderson sight it says that they have a 1 1/2. Misprint or what, cause if they are 1 3/4 they will be the best for what me and my buddies are building and i want to buy them.

Those are awesome looking headers but i dont really want to do that much fab work. I'd rather buy a good set of block huggers and keep it that way.

Hey James... long time. glad to see you are still around. I'm not sure what the Sanderson PN is but I know for a fact that they have 1 3/4" primary block huggers because I used to have some a few years back. I would call them up or email them and confirm the correct measurement and PN but they do exist

I just happen to have a set of Sanderson CC3's in my spare parts box. They used to be on my 36 Chev. coupe. Mine have 1.5" primary and 2.5 collectors. They measure about 4.25 from the mounting surface to the widest part and from top of flange to bottom of collector is about 7". They have about a 15 degree pullback to the rear as opposed to straight down as most block huggers are. The only reason I changed them out was that I did away with my runningboards and wanted to run the exhaust down the side of the car with t-bucket style turnouts, so I bought some over- the- frame rail type headers.

Im still kicking, I bought a vega and had to sell the luv, a good freind of mine bought it and he is putting it together how it should have been put together the first time. I think were gonna go with the sandersons. It now has a 12 to 1 350, 150 shot on top. 3000 stall th350. 10 bolt, spool, 3.73, c clip eliminators. It should really haul ^$# now. Have you had your truck out at all. I figured i would have seen you with it out somtime, but not yet. I saw the picture of the front clip of the nova on the SD motorsports site, is that one of you guys rides. You guys still making the late sat night runs or just the weekends way out in the mountains? I saw Ricky in the satelite Friday nigth at the Q, he really has that thing hauling &%# 6.30's or somthing.

I havent run my truck yet. The heads I had on the motor... well I knew I could do better. I dont want to roll this thing out until its how I want it... I decided to go for it. New heads on the way that already flow good # but will get worked by Mendenhall. Along with the new heads, I'm stepping up the cam considerably.

The Nova belongs to my neighbor Curt. Its a tube chassis car and the motor you see in that pic is a 472" all aluminum small block on alcohol. It supposedly will make close to 1600 on the foggers on a mild tune.

Still occasionally street racing on the weekends in east county. It should pick up a lot this summer.

Yeah, I heard Ricky's Satellite is getting down there. I've seen pics of it running there. I havent talked to him in a long time.. maybe I'll catch him at the Antique Drags on the 22nd.

BTW the headers you see on ten2ndluv's truck are off-the-shelf Hedmans for an S10. might be worth considering for your friends LUV.

Hey 10secluv, I am interested in how those would work out with a stock suspension luv. I see that you have a coil over setup on the front end. I dont think this will affect anything but, will those clear the torsion bar and everything else with the stock suspension.

stock suspension should be fine but it all really depends on how far back or forward your motor is set. then there is an issue of the one tube hitting your master cylinder. no gurantees as to whether the S10 headers will work on yours but it obviously will in some cases.
