if you have a pull it yourself wreaking yard in your area those parts are usually alot cheaper. i paid $70. for th 350 and 75. for the rear. later

Merp, I went to the wrecking yard yesterday for a quick look to fing a windshield gasket. The ford 9 inch rearends here in Idaho are going for about 350 dollars. I found a 10 inch chevy rear end out of a Olds Cutlass, that I think will be real close to fitting under the luv. There are millons of those around, and they were asking only $100. The stock luv rear end is 4 Feet wide from the brake backing plates. The Olds rear end was 4 ft 3 inches from the backing plates. I was on my lunch hour and running out of time so I need to go back and check some other measurments. I know the brake drums are wider than the Luvs, but this might be a good fit. I will let you know, because I am going back today, because I have all day to play in the wreaking yard, Oh will also need to have some leaf springs blocks welded onto the olds rear end, because the have a coil suspension. That cant cost to much to do, I dont think.

Oh and Rick where are you in Idaho becouse if its not too far (as in whith in 360miles round trip) $350 for a 9" is realy good.

Merp sorry it took so long for me to answer. I got called away, and just got back. I live in Namp, which is right next to Boise in southwest Idaho. I have a friend that can find almost any part, and I will have him look for a Ford 9 inch. He told me about 2 Ford rearends 6 months ago for $350, but I wasnt interested. Who knows, maybe he can find some more, and with any luck the price will be cheaper. It doesn't hurt to ask. I will let you know, as soon as I hear something.
