I just got offered a job in Georgia. I was wondering what the emissions laws were in respect to Luv trucks. Does the state have yearly inspections? Do they emissions test vehicles? Are Luv trucks exempt because of their age? If anyone can give me a run down on this stuff, this would be a great help.

I just hit the GA state website and found their DMV/DEQ site. It looks like it depends on what county you would be living in, and only vehicles that are 1980-2001 are required to test. Check out the full info at the Georgia Clean Air Force site:

Yep, he is right. I live just outside of Atlanta and own a 76 Luv with a V6 conversion. I don't have to get the yearly inspection anymore.

Yea! I just seen on that website that my truck is concidered an antique or collector. Honestly though, i dont see it as either. But the buracracy of the state of Georgia sees it different. I'll go with it. This job could keep me there for years and i would hate to go thru any hassles with my truck. It's comming with me. Im Savannah bound!
