I don't know the miles on it but I can ask.
It looks JUST like this, only baby blue, and instead of the bed cover, it's got a nice topper.
My only real concern with it is that I live in Montana, and it can get below freezing like 9 months out of the year here. The 79 doesn't have electronic ignition from my understanding, and will be next to impossible to start. My intention is to use it as my primary vehicle. I found on this site a way to convert it to electronic ignition, using 82 parts, but after my folks went to the trouble of making sure it was factory, I wouldn't have the heart to do it. I'll just plug it in and tough it out.
This is what I'm driving now.
It's got that crappy GM paint from that era, and it's pretty much peeled all along the top of the car. It's at 230k miles, and still runs like a champ, but it's leaking tranny fluid, (I'm hoping changing the fillter will solve that) and it's just not designed for camping trips, mountain roads, etc.
My plan is to clean up the Park Avenue as much as possible, get the tranny leak stopped if I can, and hopefully get up to $1200 out of it, even though it blue books for like $800. Then I'll hand that off to the folks, and have myself a down payment on a nice truck that I can luv and call my own. Not to mention actually try to fix if something goes wrong on it. Modern cars are hard!
