Cheap and easy or not so cheap and not so easy? Something that will last or something just to get you by?

I gots me a liner!! Bad idea. Water got under the liner...sat there for awhile until it dryed up. And it left some HUGE rust spots now. So the liner wasn't such a good buy for me..

Spray-In-Liner however..

Well since his is already messed up, I don't see what a liner could hurt.

I want something that will last and look good no matter how hard. Cost is an issuse- Nothing outrageously expensive.

You could either weld some patches in it or get some rust converter and fiber glass over it. Of cousre welding patches would be best, but if you dont have a welder or access to one, you would have to glass it. Are you able to post pics so we know what you are dealing with?

bondo will crack on you. you talkin about small dings in the metal that are too small to get out? thats the problem i have. i'm fixing mine right now.
try a product called (EVERCOAT formula 27). i did alot of research on this stuff before i started working on the dents. shit works great. everybody that has ever used it raves about it :) it's a great metal filler thats easy as hell to sand down to want you want :D
go to yahoo and type in the search. if you do use the stuff make sure you order enough. your not going to find in any store and shippings alot since its a hazzard material. try shipstore.com. shipping is cheap too :D evercoat has any kind of product you need. check into the stuff :D

yes thats it the rust ate littel tiny pits in the metal and they are too small to sand out and the ruff surface would look terrrible with new paint.

this will fill in the holes and won't chip out? how does paint stick?

How much would i need? the area is propaly total about in between 1/4 and 1/2 of the body

thanks alot

i used a pint of the stuff. 9.99. that was enough to do both sides of the bed, tailgate, and 2 dents in the fenders.

i highly suggest this stuff :D doesn't crack, shrink or fall off. very very easy to use and easy to sand with 100 grit. you just fill over just a little more than the dent and then sand down to smoothness :D
i searched through hundreds of products and decided to go with this stuff.

(one thing you'll need is some extra white mixing hardener. remember this cause you WONT have enough by a long shot..)

one good thing is you can order color sticks for this stuff so you can lay it on with the color of your car so you don't need to get a paint job.

here's the pint

here's the hardener

this shipstore is the cheapest place your going to find to ship, so i'd go with them.
hope this helps

here's what i had.

here's now :D
